A man’s urinary tract system differs a little from a woman, of course. They have the kidneys, ureters and bladder, but they also have a prostate to worry about. Many of UTIs in men affect their prostate. In fact an enlarged prostate can even be the cause of some UT’s.

Children and Urinary Tract Infections

It’s estimated that three percent of children in the US get Urinary Tract Infections every year.

More girls than boys end up with UTI’s, but both do get them. It’s very difficult for a parent to tell if a child has a UTI and the younger the child the harder it is to determine.
